Anybody looking for a project?

We have maybe 8 or 9 antique tables scattered around the house but this "dog table" is my favorite table of all of them. I don't know who made it, no label. It doesn't look quite like a production item but I guess it could be. I also have no idea how old it might be except it is quite old. About all of my ancestors of current family have been on this side of the pond for a very long time (1600's and 1700's) and I don't think it is that old but the branch (by marriage) this table came through only goes back in this country about 4 or 5 generations. I suppose it could have come from Germany with them...
The work is "different"... From the view in the picture the workmanship is great but looking at it from the bottom I can only call it solid but a little crude.
I took this picture since it was empty today. Diana is busy decorating for Christmas and emptied it. Otherwise it always has a cloth and a big globed lamp on it.
Anyway if you need a project and can whittle from a picture just carve one out.
The instructions are pretty simple:
1. Get a big block of wood.
2. Whittle away every thing that does not look like a dog table.
