Little refreshment caddy (16 x 8 x 12 H) for one of my son-in-laws for Christmas. Similar to one I saw in a store, with added compartment. Bought bottle opener at local store. Of course I'll fill it with something he'll like before it is wrapped.

That's a great idea, I've a son-in-law who would find that pretty useful.

Years ago I designed and built a small rocking horse for my toddler son (he's 34 now.) Folks I worked with absolutely LOVED it and I agreed to make 12 more. Hmmm... 12 horses times 4 legs each meant cutting and sanding 48 horse's legs. (What did I get myself into???)
But these little things are adorable, easy to make, and you can't buy good ones made from quality wood for under about $125.
(I made a few out of pine dimension lumber, but my son's and a couple others were made out of red oak. Always my favorite wood. It's SO NICE to have a national hardwood lumber source literally just 5 miles from my house. Baird Brothers Sawmill.
