Model 10 light

Model 10 light.

I just watched the episode of NCIS, where Jethro
finds and gets returned his father's best friend's
Medal of Honor.

In this episode, Jethro buys a Model 10 ER.
I've got a light, that is supposed to be a
Model 10 light. Mine is kind of cone shaped,
with the light coming out parallel to the
gooseneck flex shaft. His comes out, at a
right angle to the flex shaft.

Anyone know which one is correct?

The straight one, or the "scoop" one.

I have two here and both are right angle. All I have ever seen is right angle.

OK, it seems I may have been wrong.

Mine does look like the ones in Keith's
file.

The one in Jethro's basement, is more
"scoop" shaped. The bulb is screwed in
at the end of the flex shaft, but the
opening (for the photons) is on the
side of the bulb, not on the end.

In other words, you can see the side
of the bulb, on Jethro's. You see the
end, on mine.

Make sense? Hope so.

The one I the picture is not the correct lamp. The 90 degree lamp is. I contact the company that made the original lamp and they were able to make me one exactly the same as the original minus the SS logo.

Jethro wins. :D
I think Keith wins.

Jethro's is NOT a correct Shopsmith
Model 10 light. And, I've never seen one
like it. (Except Jethro's.)

(Oh, found that picture, by Googling,
and my "Jethro's drink table" post came
up. Using a Model 10 for a drink stand.)

Right you are, I miss visualized your written description. The picture clears up the confusion.
