Happy New Year all!! I am in the process of updating my scroll saw because the guy loading it bumped it and broke the metal tab that holds the metal hood off. He had already had the up grade kit but it does not include the metal clip with two screws that it attaches too. I had to drive the 1/4 inch dowel out to remove the broken part that the hinge pivots on. I ordered two in case one shears off when driving the dowel back in. Has anyone replaced this piece and was it and easy replacement? Is the dowel supposed to be that tight?

In response to my own question. The part came today. I found the dowel press fit into the internal part and the hole in part allowed it to rock up and down when needed. I was afraid I would crack it putting it in so I ordered two. I also purchased to red safety switches for the power station and shop smith planer.
