Has anyone got this email from SS?
I am not sure where this is going from a SS standpoint but I don't like it.
This is not the way I want to see SS going. This is totally stupid.

Oh I think it is 'clever'.
I wish that cleverness was directed a different direction.
It is 'cute'. That is what is 'wrong' with it.

I have not received that email but if this is all that it is about, I don't see anything wrong with it. Someone who has been thinking about doing a retrofit will likely jump on it. I mean, after all, 20% off.

It states repairs/tuneup, not retrofit nor upgrade.
Still 20% which I assume does not apply to parts cost.

I don't see a problem. 98% of advertising success is just getting someone's attention... Often campy does that. Apparently this one did.
