Electronic logging on every auto that moves is just as bad .who's business is it if you go to the store or not.
Oregon I believe wants it installed on very vehicle in their state , so they can bill you for highway tax ....according to them .

I would be hard to track because I don't have a cell phone, gps, or any other device like that. My cars are too old to be trackable without adding a tracking gizmo, and if they did that, they might end up owing me money for all those miles I don't drive.

Unless the shopping mall or the medical facility are security hotspots, they can track me all they want. It would be a boring job though.

If we're still talking about the Oregon proposal, they don't care where you go. Only how far you drive so they can tax you appropriately. This would be an alternative to the gas tax.

If this becomes reality I'll just have to drive the "old car or the truck" more.
As it is, however, our fuel budget is now only $60.00/mo. and we seldom spend the budget amount.

Geeze, Dusty. $60 won't fill my F250. Living in the sticks sometimes has it's cost. Never more evident than when I gotta drive to Phoenix or Tucson for lumber.
