Did my 2017 taxes during the game

All my federal forms are filled in and sent in so now I have to wait to see if they flag something in the next 24 to 48 hours, if not I'm done except for the wait for the refund.
BTW while doing the taxes I needed to use the SS worksheet to get that taxable amount. In my case this year the amount was about 36%. I know people banter about this amount and some of you have your taxes done professionally but if you are interested get a hold of the forms and check out how much percentage wise.......
Tomorrow I'd do the state where I will pay in for the sales taxes from places who do not collect them. Don't pay anything but that so the bill will be minimal.

Are you saying you paid 36% of your gross income?

No. Of the SS amount 36% is taxable for us. Depending on one's situation this percent will very. It is not a fixed amount with everyone.

Got ours done, but not filed. I make more than my share of mistakes, so I'll look at them again in a couple of days. Sorta like measure twice - cut once.

We finished ours a week or so ago. The first day the IRS would start accepting returns was Jan 29 so we waited and sent it off that day. I don't trust the Post Office to do their job anymore today so we sent it Priority mail so we can track it. Good thing because they sent it from Bismarck, ND to Anchorage, AK, and then finally to Cincinnati, OH. Apparently, today's postal workers flunked Geography when they went to school.....if they attended school at all.
So, the IRS had to wait an extra week for their check due to sloppy mail delivery.

What does a UPS truck have to do with the USPS?

Well, UPS frequently utilises the services of the USPS. Does that count?
Anyway, the link hobby man provided was some interesting reading.

"Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 13, 2018"
Now that is pretty quick.
