It has been in the high 40's and low 50's for the last week or so. Today we got reminded that winter is not over yet. This type of thing can happen into early June. It snowed steady for almost 8 hours. The ground was so warm that it didn't accumulate until late afternoon.

It has been doing that here too. We have had 3 snowstorms in the past two weeks adding another 13" of snow to the top of the piles of winter snow. Maybe soon, it might start melting.

The robins are back around here ,maple trees are budding , syrup has been running for a few weeks now , that usually means another three weeks for us . we will be starting the garden seeds this week .

The robins are here too and sitting on 2 foot snow piles. Robins are one of the most stupid beings in the world. Apparently they can't see snow or recognize what it is.
The maple trees are dripping down on those 2 foot snow piles and making maple snow cones.

Looks like winter's over in N. AZ. I hope. High 50s for a few days then, zooms to the 70s by next weekend. Still have some freezing temperatures overnight for a few more days.

I expect winter to be around here for a while yet this year. The melt hasn't started. I guess it is too early in the year for any global warming yet.

Around here we seldom get snow on the roofs as it snows horizontally instead of vertically. Snow in the plains usually comes with high winds and blizzard conditions that keep the snow moving so it can't sit on high spots like roofs.
