Another tiny turning

Had a small piece of black walnut and decided to make a small ring cup.

I like it! Might be a good way to use up some smaller left overs.

Was it a faceplate turning? Can't see how you might have chucked it from the pictures.

On the second photo there looks to be a tenon on the bottom.

Or a glue block?? That is why I ask because it would seem there could be various ways of doing this. I was think of how I would do it with the bottle stopper mandrel I have from Ruth but I like to learn how others might do it.

I turned it with a chuck. There is a small tenon on the bottom.
