What is the best way to make these and what is the best way to attach them to the Property fence

There is no magic formula for sacrificial fences. You make them to fit your needs. I have several that I keep on hand depending on what I expect to do. They are also expected to get consumed so I would get to involved in making a perfect one.

In general, you want a piece that is of good quality in respect to being flat, solid, no twists or bad warps. Sized to fit the rip fence in general, it can be longer and taller of course. Thickness can be from say 1/4" to 2" depending on the operation and what needs to be covered.

Mounting depends on the fence you have. If it excepts t-nuts then go that way. If it has through holes then go that way.

If you have a copy of the PTWFE then check the chapters on sawing, don't recall just where but I'm sure it is covered.

I have had good luck using HDP
If you search around you can find sheets at a good price
I use a slot cutter for attaching stops .

For me it always melamine. Fairly stable and everything slides well. It is heavy so it’s best to get it already sliced into quarter sheets but one sheet will last a long time. Years for most.
