Made this today for fun. Now my son wants it. Good thing i didn't sharpen ir too much.

Pretty slick, Beave. I maybe shoulda said pretty sharp. At any rate, you're on the cutting edge with that project.

Nice, it looks like it would make a good letter opener. A good gift idea.

I believe it's maple. Its actually scrap from table saw shipping pallets. Igot got them from behind rockler when u bought my sawstop, been drying for 8 months in the garage just to be sure i never tripped the break.

If I did it again I would do a walnut handle, but did not want to resaw part of my slab for this...

Sorry I don't. But i used John Heisz's plans from https://ibuildit.ca/projects/wooden-pocket-knife/

Simple enough for a beginner. Was a good excuse to use up scrap and break out the strip sander.
