Good news for Veterans

If you are a Veteran retired or not there is some good news in the compromise version of the National Defense Authorization Act for 2019 that has passed the House.
It gives the military a 2.6% pay raise. In years past what the active duty military got was closely followed by active civil service pay and retired military and civil service pay and medicare (or vice-a-versa). We can only hope.
Also, if you are retired there will be no increase in Tricare fees as some in congress wanted.
For non retired Veterans, if you have a service connected disability you will be allowed to shop on base at the Commissary and BX/PX and use the MWR facilities starting in 2020.
