While I have been using them for a while now on the two centipede I have and like them I have just discovered a new added use for them.

I have an older B&D workmate and needed to do some sanding and since it was out I figured that was a good a place as any to sand on. I have some tool chest drawer liner that I normally put down to hold the work piece while I work and that works just fine but since the non-slips were out and ready I gave them a shot. They are just a little loose but work perfectly well for this application.
And they also fit just fine in the 20mm holes on my mft type attachment for the shopsmith.
The last box of 6 were $7.99 at my local Menard's store.

Can you tell me more about the "mft type attachment"? I've often wondered about building a workbench type top the could be mounted to the shopsmith when it is not in use.

I did this table for a particular application I had but it has turned out to be way more useful then even I expected. The first application was for working with the Shaper Origin but since then I've used it for a sanding station and for mounting my portable router table on as well as a general work surface.

Using the extension table hardware has been a nice way to do several things including mounting my Jointmatic. I also have a flat wood extension table that I use for general projects and these are but a few ideas I have worked on. At one time I had a platform for a miter saw that mounted on the main table and let me use extension tables as wings.

Do these have a 3/4" stem or 20mm? I have a custom MFT work bench and think these would be a good addition.

Hi,

Haven't measured the stems but I would think the old shopmate would likely have 3/4" holes and they have a loose fit there. If I were to try and fold the shopmate the non-slips would just fall out when tipped vertical.

However so long as you have ask I will measure the stems later today when I'm out working on yet another project and then we will all know.

I have been considering one. Anyone here own or used one?

Shopmate holes look like .77?" a lot of variance more then likely due to use and abuse over a lot of years.

The non-slips come in about .745". Should be no problem fitting 3/4" holes if that is what you have.

I have put up several posts here on the centipede, search with reible and subject of centipede to find them.

I really like mine. I have both the small and the large one. I like them so much I got the small version for both of my sons along with these non-slips.

I've never had a reason to really load one like the video shows but my guess is you could, after all they did shows us that it can take it. The big issues I have is trying to find a nice flat place to set them, the larger one especially. My driveway is very uneven, really need to have it redone....

I'd be glad to answer specific questions if you have any.
