The lady said it was a Shopsmith but I've never seen quite anything like this on the forum. It is a curious piece of something though.

That appears to be a “Delta Shop”, circa 1953. I suspect that Delta was targeting the burgeoning Shopsmith market. Cool machine!

The Delta setup above looks a little like the Magna Line Model 710 Table Saw with a Magna 4" Jointer but with a chopped up Shopsmith Model 10E or 10ER for a drill press and whatever else it does.

That is a neat machine, but the double pulley setup looks dangerous. Thanks for finding and identifying it, Dennis.

You’re welcome, and I don’t think that OSHA would approve of that drill-press drive belt. It reminds me of my favorite machinery warning label.

The double pulley is no more dangerous than a spinning saw blade; especially one without a saw guard.
Remember: OSHA's' major concern is NOT your safety. OSHA is there to prevent situations that might result in insurance claims and/or lawsuits.
However, we have wondered a bit off topic. NO, I do not recognize the machine in question (post #1).
