Today in the shop (super simple router project)

My wife found this hanger deal at an antique store. Not sure if it really an antique but who cares she liked it. It is quite heavy, some sort of cast metal.

Anyway she wanted to have it mounted to something so that was my task. A piece of pine and then routed the edges, sanded, and finished. Still drying but dry enough to set the birds on and take a picture.

So now to wait a few more hours and see where she wants me to mount it.

Looks Good!

I'm sure your wife will find the right place for it.

Ed,
Another fine project. Are you going to run screws through the two holes in the casting and through the board into anchors to mount it or mount the board first with recessed holed behind the birds? Just curious.

Hope to use the hole in the casting to mount the whole thing. She hasn't yet decided where it will go so there could be a change of plan depending on what the location offers for attachment.

Time will tell I guess is the best way to put it.
