Dad passed away, and we are settling the estate. We don't want to see his shopsmith sent to the landfill, but none of the kids or grandkids wants it.

So if you want it, and can pick it up in Danville, CA. it is yours. It was last used about 5 years ago. Pictures attached.

I found a home for her. Very happy. It didn't have the variable speed add-on, just the original manual speed adjustments (move belt to different pulleys).

Projects made with her include a rocking chair, a couple lamps, lots of Christmas ornaments, and dozens of candlesticks. Dad would come home from work and de-stress by turning candlesticks. He liked working with redwood, as it was soft, inexpensive and finished up nice. I learned how to use it in my teens back in the 70's. I had planned on keeping it, but don't have the space.

Glad you found it a good home, point the new owner in our direction, we can help them with the learning curve.

What Steve was referring to was that for use without the speed changer the top pulley block would normally be mounted with the large side toward the headstock (the belt guard only fits that way) and the motor pulley mounted the way it is in your picture so that the belt runs straight up and down.
With the speed changer there are two belts and the motor pulley is reversed.
