Today in the shop (oh no yet another jig)

While this jig is for the SO it might find other uses in a shop. I will not mention the shaper requirements but just give you some pictures and details to think about.
This is how it looks stored:
In use the "legs" can open to allow work pieces to be set between them and captured by the top and the sides.
This is accomplished by using a section of Rockler t-track and some hardware normally associated with bed parts. The nut and special washers are now equipped with a t-bolt that fits in the track.
Since the hardware is 5/16" you pretty much have to have the rockler track and it is just a slight amount wider then the thickness of the plywood. It is critical the track doesn't set higher then the plywood so I had to add some Formica like pieces to make sure that happened.
Some of the other features are the fact that is is height adjustable by using elevator bolts. Difference lengths are an attempt to keep the screw heads below the top surface. I may use a tool and make a screw driver slot on them so they can be adjusted from the top but that is for another time.
