Greetings everyone.
I have been perusing the forum and really appreciate the sharing that goes on here. I bought a Shopsmith 10ER serial no.83601, at an estate sale a couple of weeks ago. Well, saying I bought it was probably not a correct statement. Nobody wanted it, so I got a price nobody would turn down.
I brought it home, cleaned off the loose sawdust and mess that was on it and plugged it in and it worked. That was half the battle.
My model has the table saw and the joiner attachments as well as the large sanding disc. It is missing a lathe center for the head, but has a few other items that came along with it.
I gather this is an early model, not sure of the year, but any help there would be appreciated. I will post photos later.
I wanted one of these when I first saw them back in the 1980's and I am excited to clean this one up and get to work with it.
Any way, I look forward to contributing here.

try to get some pictures put up so we can identify what you have and need.

Welcome, you will find a wealth of knowledge here. The serial number puts your machine late 1952 (after September) or early 1953.

Thank You...This is very helpful. I am planning on taking photos tomorrow. It is in a tight spot and I need to move it out to get photos.

Please show us photos. It makes it much easier to give you correct advice and help.

Understand the 10ER spindle is the same as every Shopsmith and the tail stock is a #2 Morse taper the same as all Shopsmith's. So most of the accessories that fit a MK V will fit the 10ER.
