Mark VII Fall/Winter Project

I took a few days vacation and come back to find this Mark VII on Craigslist. As if I hadn't had enough driving, into the truck and another two hour drive one way. Missing the lathe spur drive. I don't believe this one was purchased originally with the saw guards so will be looking for a set. One medallion is unglued but all three are there. The plastic cam and the rack are in excellent condition. I have two of the original hose ends and two were broken. The hoses are there but are brittle. Paid $150.

Is that the two sided sanding disk, flat and conical, under the sandpaper? The lathe drive is the same as the Mark V so easy to replace. Nice to find one in such good shape and as complete.

Yes that is the two sided disk. I learned my lesson the hard way with conical disks. I accidentally put a 12 inch conical disk with Mark 5 I sold and had to buy another one to go with the Shopsmith planer blade sharpener. The Mark VII conical side of the disk can be used with the planer blade sharpener in a pinch.
