Computer Issue

Post by berry »

Yesterday I was playing a game of chess at chess.com. About the 23rd move a yellow banner appeared at the top of the screw saying “A website has slowed your browser, what do you want to do. CANCEL OR WAIT?” I kept clicking wait and after a few minutes I realized the browser had frozen.

Chess.com com considered the game ‘abandoned’ and I lost 28 points in one where I was actually a pawn ahead.

I have Lenovo laptop that’s practically new. Windows 10 and I was in Mozillia. Any idea what happened or what I can do to prevent another disaster? TIA.

There is some explanation here and some suggestions as to things you can do.

Thank you. Most of that I didn't understand, but I can try Chrome easy enough.

Why not use Edge? That browser tied in with Microsoft built in virus protection is superior protection.
