Speaking of trees

One of the older white pines somehow managed to not get cut down during logging operations and we decided to see how big it was. I had a rope along so we strung around it at a point 4 feet up the truck. Then measured the rope to determine a diameter of 35". It would be interesting to see just how old it is??
Of course I also like to get shots up the trunk on taller trees(different tree). These trees also survived the logging operations.
Now an adventure in the off beat. A tree farm along the way has colored trees. No idea how they do it but it would appear they are growing in those colors???
Have to wonder if this is the wave of the future.
