I am new to this forum and have been a Shopsmith owner for 25+ years. I recently purchased a Shopsmith Air compressor and I am looking to see if anyone has a manual I can get a copy of. I'm not even sure I am posting this request in the right place on this website. Thanks for any help!

Would love to see a picture of your compressor. If anyone out there has a manual I'm sure they will respond.

Stew, you posted in the right place and your pictures of the compressor are excellent.
It is good to have you onboard as a new member. I hope we hear from you regularly. Unfortunately I have nothing to tell you about the compressor. I have never owned one. In your pictures, though, it looks as though you have a nice clean unit. Hope it works good.
Until you find instructions to the contrary, I would operate it at a very low speed.

My speed chart for finishing says
Internal Mix.... C
External Mix.... B
You might want to do a search here, there was another thread about this.

I bought one of these recently. No manual. I called Shopsmith and they sent me a a xeroxed copy of the manual. It arrived in a couple of days. I was really impressed that they did this and did this so quickly.

Randy,
Is there any way you can scan your copy and post it as a jpeg or PDF file? There may be more people looking for this and it would sure save them a lot of time and effort.

That compressor was made by Campbell Hausfeld. They sold the same unit under that name. It just came with a motor. They have manuals in PDF at CHpower.com but you need
their model number.

I also purchased a used Shopsmith Air System. It includes a Campbell-Hausfeld air compressor and Campbell-Hausfeld portable 11 gallon air tank. I called Shopsmith and they immediately sent out a manual for this system.
The compressor tank had been setup by it's previous owner with a pressure regulator and a tank drain. I plan on doing some replumbing and setting this tank up on a wall.
I also picked up a portable 7 gallon airtank. I set this up with a pressure regulator. I can now carry the tank around with my pneumatic nailer and use the nailer without the compressor.

I have the manual and I'll try to get it scanned and posted in the next few days.
