Looking for a couple of measurements

Don't have access to a machine right now but would like to know a couple of measurements. They don't have to be real accurate, just need to get the general size so I'm close for the sizing of other parts.

This is for a 520 setup, what is the center to center of the tubes and from the center of the tubes to the table top. Here is a sketch of what I'm looking for:

If no one has this at hand don't fret I can get it this evening.

Thanks,

Ed

15 1/2 X ~5/8~(to CENTER of slot i.e. pivot pin)

Offset appears to be half the tube diameter.

Thanks!

Those numbers will allow me to keep going on the design, might even finish it today and then have to wait for a nicer day to start the build. Snowing right now........... not so great weather to work out in the driveway the next few days but perhaps next week where they have some 50's forecast.

Dusty, what a great drawing. I am filing it away for future use. Thanks for posting.

Thank you. If you use it, however, remember that the measurements are somewhat installation specific.

With a little help from Dusty I got it done. Yes some fine details to do like getting the clips to fit the rail and adjusting after that but other then that I think its a design.

This will clip on the rails between two fixed extension tables, and yes I have the two. There is no alignment issues so long as the distance between the tubes is correct it will just clip on.

The holes are the standard 96mm on center, 20mm holes with a few extra off set holes to allow the cuts to happen between rows of holes and spaced back to allow the saw to not hit them (I hope).

The festool track will attach with some rail clips and then some tall parf dogs. Short parf dogs to locate the work piece and plenty of holes for other clamping uses.

This is an extension to this project:

I'm surprised at how much use this one gets so that is one of the reasons I decided I could use this one and add the ability to do cut offs. I don't think it will replace the older version but more likely add to the things I can do with the system.
