Dear wife and I have been busy the last few weeks making outdoor decorations for some of our grandchildren and #2 daughter as Christmas gifts. I do the construction and she does the painting, with a little direction from me. :) The grandchildren now have their own houses and needed, (dear wife's idea), some decorations. The bears and "mr. & Mrs. Frosty" are for the grandchildren.

The angel is for our daughter, who now that she has grandchildren, decided that she also needs decorations. It is from The Winfield Collection "Wood Pallet Series" but I made it from exterior plywood.

They were given out today so they could be up before Christmas and everyone seemed pleased, especially the great-grandchildren.

Have fun!

John

Those are some real nice yard ornaments John. I am sure that they will be appreciated.

If you need on another grandchild I sure would like one of the Mr. and Mrs. Frosty.

Great job!

Thanks for the good comments!

Sorry Redleg, with 14 grandchildren and 4 great-granchildren, you would be far down the line. :)

Still working on my last project, this one will be for our own use. Hopefully it will be finsihed before Christmas but with our lack of snow, the impact will be less.

John

It's a big country. ;)

No snow here on the west coast yet, except on the mountains, but we are getting lots of rain. Where my brother lives, in Calgary, they got their first snow at the beginning of October. :)

Here is one of my yard ornaments I made and wife painted. It is of a New Orleans icon, Mr. Bingle. He started out as an advertisement on a local department store and took on a life of its own.
