Actual woodshop project, shaker stools.

I mostly just work "on" the shop not "in" it doing woodworking. 
Here is a picture of my stylized version of a shaker stool. I made one just a bit different maybe 25+ years ago and we have used it constantly. That first one was made from some old concrete form lumber and painted. It still gets used around the woodshop but Diana often grabs it when doing painting etc. Its current base color is hunter green with other paint drops and streaks all over it. I need to get a picture of it too. The one in this picture is one I made for my now deceased mother maybe 20 years ago. One of my daughters used the patterns to make herself one as a 4-H woodworking project, also many years ago.
Another of my daughters recently asked for one which is why I am making a couple of them now. One for her and one for a daughter-in-law.
Did you ever have to set up a portable work table because the shop elves failed to get the main bench cleared off and it is a couple of days before Christmas.
It only takes a few minutes to gather up the crap on the bench but it takes 3 hours to put it away.
In keeping with my long standing tradition of putting most things off until the last minute I just started on these yesterday. I have them both all cut out and all of the edges sanded on the oscillating spindle / belt sander (Ridgid, decent tool). This is a pretty simple piece, no fancy joinery nor fancy edge work. I'll put them together in the morning and finish them tomorrow afternoon. I did use one Shopsmith with the bandsaw mounted on it for curved cuts.
