New Owner. What’ part is this?

Hello all,
I just inherited a Shopsmith from my late grandfather and I’m really excited to get started with it. It came with tons of goodies that I’m sorting through. And knowing my grandfather, this thing was very well maintained.
Well I’ve been sorting through the stuff today and can’t figure this thing out (see photo). I assumed it was the upper guard, but it looks different than all the other upper guards I’ve seen. And when I tried to put it in, I couldn’t get it in with the blade because of the angle it’s at (the upper guards I’ve seen go straight down instead of pointed toward the blade like this).
So. What is this thing?

I do not think that is shopsmith origin.

Do you know if your grandfather had any other table saws? It is not a Shopsmith guard for any of the Model 10, Mark series tools or the Sawsmith table saw. It wouldn't go to the old Magna Line 9" Table Saw either.

Oh, maybe that’s it. My grandfather didn’t. But my uncle (who’s had the shopsmith since my grandfather passed) does have another table saw. Maybe he got these mixed up.
If not, how much does shopsmith sell the upper guard for? This is the only one given to me.

Depends upon which lower saw guard you have(there were different versions). Which SS model do you have?

I've got a Mark V 520 (at least I think that's what it is). As for saw guard, here's what I've got.

Yes from looking at the table, it IS a 520.
That is the lower saw guard. It mounts directly on the quill outboard of the knurled collar.

Thanks. But I understand this is the lower guard and how to get it on and off. I was responding to your question above where you asked which lower guard I had so that you can answer how much the upper guards usually run.
