Anyone remember when the PowerPro was introduced?

Post by reible »

Looks like 2010 but no idea of the month/day. Hard to believe it over 8 years old.

I received mine in September 2010. It was probably announced some weeks prior to that (?).

Still happy to have it; have voted as such in the poll :)

June/July 2010

Released in two small builds. At least one person here on the forum received one from the first batch.

Sometimes it good to have a perspective on when something like the powerpro came out.

The android operation system came out in 2008, it didn't even have a code name. Need less to say tablets were not available at that point.

The iphone was about a year old, yea that long ago. Tablets from apple? No. Ipad classic was around.....

Windows vista............. not much anyone can say about that.

So how many people still have 2008 technology like well anything resembling what we now have. So perhaps the powerpro is looking a little dated with the touch screen but that was pretty much the cost effective design of the times. Perhaps if it were coming out in 2019 it might look a lot different.

Anyway it interesting to look back to what seems so long ago.

I seem to remember that Reible posted several photos of a PP with the control panel covered at least a month before I received this one.
