I just got the Woodcraft sale flyer and it is on sale from 1-11 Feb. Regular $209.99 on sale for $149.99. It comes with 3 sets of jaws unlike Shopsmith's 2 set. It also comes with a from lined plastic case. You would still have to buy the SS adapter from Teknatool but...

Hmmmm! that sounds familiar. Got one a month or two back. Must have over stocked them.

Be aware the threaded mount is 1 x 8.(assuming it is the same 'deal').[It is same pn]

That is why I said you will need to buy the SS adapter from Teknatool.

This is not one that takes the inserts that we are use to. You can still use it but with an 5/8 to 1-8 adapter.

No it is not. The 'standard' G3 has a larger thread as does the ISNS. Not sure the size, but will look it up unless someone else beats me to it.

This chuck has no adapter, the 1-8 is built into the chuck.

I understand that. They all are threaded. That is why you need a SS adapter. Are you (and JPG) saying that the Nova G3 30th Anniversary has a different internal thread than the "Non Anniversary" G3 model?

That model is different then the ones we are use to seeing. It is not made to take inserts, it just made to take that one size. This is not a universal fit via the insert chuck, it made for just 1-8 machines.
