power pro ground fault

Are ground fault breaker more sensitive than a ground fault outlet? I installed a dedicated circuit on a gfi. This one trips immediately on power up. You can plug in to a ground fault outlet and everything seems fine.

It should not make a difference. Get a gfi from an electrical supply house that deals with the trade. Get one that is certified hospital grade. They are more tolerant of strong rd fields.

I have had both and the GFI circuit breaker does seem to be more sensitive. But I don't use either on the PowerPro. It seemed to trip both the wall plug as well as the circuit breaker. I finally just used a 220V service line.

The powerpro manual has some information on using it with GFI. I don't recall what it says but if you can't find it let me know and I will dig out my manual and provide you with it.

I got to digging around in the panel and found we had wired the neutral to the neutral bar instead of the load side of the breaker. I appreciate all those who tried to help. Thanks a bunch.

I surmise that ANYTHING turned on while plugged into that circuit tripped the breaker.
