Hi there,

I just got a Shopsmith 10E in bad shape. the motor was not working, ton of sawdust inside. now it's clean, the centrifugal switch seems ok but the capacitor is missing.
Can someone tell me the value I have to install for this motor. it's a AO Smith 1/2 hp

Did you check the data plate plate on the motor? Sometimes the capacitor value is stated on the plate.
