Bandsaw table miter gauge

Post by putttn »

I purchased an older bandsaw with the smaller table. Wondered if you could use the miter gauge off my 510 with it or are you supposed to get a different miter gauge?

It is the smaller table, 1990 yr model. Not the aluminum larger table that is the present model. My 510 is 1996 vintage.

you could indeed use your model 510 miter gage, however you would need to remove the washer that fits in the t-track of the 510 as it would prevent the bar from entering the slot on the cast iron table. it is very easy to remove/install with a screwdriver.
