Miter Slot T Washer Fit

I know the miter bar on my Shopsmith is narrower than I have a set of other saws. I mentioned in another thread that I have a set of Double Dubbys that needed the miter bars replaced. I have since had my local machine shop mill them to fit and added a recess and screw thread for putting in the t slot washers.

Can anyone tell me if the t slots on the Shopsmith 520 tables are also narrower than the standard slot on most other saws? My miter gauge does not have a washer to check it with. Just considering the possibility of ordering slot washers from another vendor that sells a washer and screw for under $10 per set.

Thanks

I guess Shopsmith is my best option. I have been unable to find another vendor for this part.

Take a normal washer and grind off a bit of two sides, (so it looks like a race track). Then rotate so you get the fit you want.

I picked up 3 fender washers 7/8" and 3 screws for $0.17 per pair. Fits slot and does the job. Screw head is below bar, so no countersinking required. Will add thread locker if needed.

Thank you for this post, I was going crazy trying to find one of these as mine was missing when I bought it. I ended up using the knockout from an electrical box. I put a punch mark in the middle, drilled a pilot hole, and then drilled to the correct size hole for my screw. I used a countersink bit to get the screw head to sit neatly inside the washer.

The fastener was a #8 machine screw, if that helps anyone.
