Pro Planer Toggle Switch

I have a Pro Planer on the stand. The toggle switch inside of the switch housing is stuck in the off position and I cannot get it up. Does anyone have a source for it or know if shopsmith will sell just the switch (they were gone for the day when I called today). I’ve tried searching online and my local NAPA but no luck. Markings on the switch are “McGill 15A 3/4HP 277v”. Tried looking on McGills catalog and elsewhere online and can’t find it.

I haven't had any problems with the switch on my Pro Planer so I have not opened up the Speed Control Box. You could try finding a "like" switch with the same ratings, number of contacts and size to see if that works. Shopsmith only sells the complete Speed Control Box.

Chapmanruss, that is where I have found a dead end. Can’t find one with the 4 spade connections and the proper rating. Spade connections are my biggest hold up. There just isn’t much room in the housing to rig up connections for screw type. Stew, the key is present and I’ve been using the planer for a few years. I even removed and reinserted the key several times before I opened the housing up thinking that may have been the problem as well
