If you purchase a new Mark 7 does it come with the retractable casters or any casters at all?

Historically no! But then my references are quite old. I went for 40 yrs without them.

I was at a demo a couple of weeks ago. The price sheet says 'Casters, Lift assist, Chisels Are Not Included as Mk7 items." He was, of course, recommending the premium casters for M7.

It does not come with the casters. See the online catalog. If you can wait for the Demo to come to your area you can save some on the purchase and add casters.

Thanks guys. I'll check and see when a demo is coming to my town and see how good of a deal I can get. I had just found a Premium Caster Upgrade with the Retractable System for about $50 bucks less than what SS sells them for.

You can also get discounts from Doug Reid. Just Google him. Not sure how they compare to the demos but I think they are close.

I'm sure that the Lowe's demo deals change from time to time, but I can provide info from the one a couple of weeks ago in Arlington TX. The SS demo discount for the Mark 7 was $213 plus a free major accessory (SPT or Dust Collector). So the total discount was in the $850 range for Mark7 plus one SPT. You can then get Lowe's discounts on top of that: 10% for veterans or active military OR 5% on an existing Lowe's account OR 10% on a new Lowe's account. There may be others. You cannot combine Lowe's discounts, if you are a vet and open a new Lowe's account you get 10%, not 20. But because you get the Lowe's discount on top of the show/demo price, I think this one is hard to beat. It seems like they hit most metro areas about once per year for a few days, one would think the Twin Cities would be on the list.

If you look at Denver CraigsList there is always an ad for a New M7. I don't know any more than that about this seller, but the ad asserts that it comes with SS Warranty.

DLB I did not know Lowe's did demo's on SS's.... I checked the SS website and all the demo's are in Washington right now. Bad time to be trying to get people to come to mass gatherings. Especially in Washington. LOL...

To the best of my knowledge all (so at least most) of the demos that SS shows on their website take place in Lowe's stores at those locations.
