Substitute for Johnson’s Paste wax

Living in Canada it is impossible to get Johnson’s Paste Wax. Thinking about ordering Lee Valleys Blue Wax. Is this a good choice or are there other alternatives in Canada?

Brand doesn't matter. It doesn't have to be Johnson's wax. Any brand of hard floor wax does a great job. You want a wax with mostly carnuba content. I would buy whatever you find on the shelves in your area.
I have been using a can of Trewax for the past 35 years because that is what was available when I got my Shopsmith.
Minwax makes one, and Trewax still does too.
Just check for whatever brand you have available and get that one.

Several years ago when Carnuba paste wax was phased out for autos I bought 2 tins for $1 each. Look in your auto detailing stuff and see if you have any.

I am sure the Lee Valley wax would work well, but the price is very high for the amount you get.
I got a can of TreWax years ago at a local hardware store that is/was a Ace Hardware affiliate and it works well, I'm sure BriWax or MinWax would be good also. I would avoid any that specified "floor" wax as they would likely contain an anti-slip component, That is why advocates specified Johnson's Original Paste Wax and not Johnson's Floor wax.
