Who here wears an apron in the shop?
How about a smock?
Maybe a shop coat?
Jump-suit?
Just ordinary clothes?

Thinking back all of my wood and metal shop teachers wore shop coats. That was in high school and college both. I generally have worked in a denim shop apron or just my jeans and Tee shirt. For years the jeans were bibs until I retired from farming. I did like the extra pockets.
I have considered a shop coat for the wood shop but I can't wear one in the winter because my shop gets too hot. It would be fine in the summer with the AC running and the natural coolness of the basement. I hope that I can get the wood burning furnace ducting changed more by next winter so the shop is a touch cool in the winter.

I have an apron, but almost never think to wear it, Usually I wear my normal clothes, jeans, polo shirt, and a fleece sweater, two sweaters if it is really cold.

How about "Cookie Monster" pajamas and t-shirt. During this social distancing exercise I have spent a lot of time in my PJs. YES, including shop time.

I'm not much of an apron guy. Jeans and t-shirt weather permitting. I do have a "lab coat" that I don't love for turning. Should buy something better with high neck band to keep the chips away. Might never happen, been on my list for years but cutting an order, well hasn't happened yet.

Felt strange shopping yesterday in a mask. A year ago they would have thought that you were there to rob the place in a mask. So what do robbers wear now?

I wear my regular clothes while my original Shopsmith apron hangs on the wall in the shop. I never remember to put it on.

Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a good sturdy apron with a high neck to wear, but then I don't get a lot of shop time with the 4 little ones running around. Also my shop is the breezeway between the garage and house so I get a lot of foot traffic through. For me it's jeans, sometimes shorts, and a t-shirt. If I'm doing something that I'm worried about a lot of small chips coming at me then I'll don an old leather jacket, but only when it's cool enough for that.

I have a Shopsmith apron that remains on the wall. It is not so comfortable to wear. Mostly I wear jeans or shorts with a tee shirt and a waxed canvas shop apron. The shop has A/C so an apron isn't too hot in summer. ~mike c

I have a SS apron that I have worn in the past but was not comfortable so replaced it with a waxed canvas one. I try to remember to wear it and usually do. Helps to remind myself by keeping pencils and small rules in the pockets and not in the shop. Other than that I wear normal cloths which a lot of the time is a T-shirt and track/sweat pants or shorts if hot and a sweatshirt when cold.

Apron , it is great to hold a pencil and small tape measure in the pocket, , I modified the straps so they criss cross my shoulders , I dont like anything around my neck . I have been considering making one out of leather because it would be less likely to get caught up in a machine and provides much more safety protection . I dont work in the shop that much now but when working on the lathe or table saw I believe leather is much safer .

I typically wear what I call work clothes, denim shirt and jeans. But I just ordered a very nice apron so we will see how much it gets used.
