Just finished

I had made two adirondack chairs many years ago and one has finally bit the dust. I had also cut pieces for a third chair but never got around to making it so I dusted them off, sanded them and put it all together.

Then I sat down to relax!

Have fun & stay safe!

Looks great! 👏👏👏 I would have needed a drink holder but then I could use a drink holder wherever I am😁

Thanks for the comments!

The chair is made from 5/4 cedar deck boards and finished with a couple of coats of wipe on ploy to give it colour and then with a couple of coats of waterbased outdoor polyurathane. Previous ones were finished with exterior spar varnish (1), and tung and teak oil (1). both required maintence and eventually greyed so they ended up painted but lasted 15-20 years.

The rain barrel was puchased as a kit several years ago. Putting the slats together was an ecperience but I finally managed it. Unfortunately the plastic connector on the downspout broke last year and I can't seem to find another that has a valve that directs the water to the barrel, or to the remaining downspout when the barrel is full or not required. The top is also rotted so I might dismantle it this year as it is no longer in use.

I have to add my agreement with the others. That is a very nice looking chair. Glad to see you are already enjoying it.
