A couple quick projects using some scraps. I didn't have enough material for 4 legs so I keeled the base for stability


Now-that the SS is back, I was able to expand my shelf collection for the shop.

Whole summer lost waiting for PP power supply to return-damned Covid slowed down the RMA-I guess thats the downside of a multi-tool...you go down hard when you go down !

Anyways-good to be back in the shop.

I am starting to see the logic of a powerstation or shortie.

Or you just have another headstock On hand even if its a old new.

I have two Shopsmith, one I bought 1982, and the other piece a bought off eBay. So my 82’ headstock is now in the box that the power pro headstock came just in case I need to have either headstock on the two machines fix.

My two cents on this is that anything with a conventional headstock gives you a backup headstock. I'd stay away from a Powerstation for that reason. A shorty, deputy, mini, or dedicated drill press all offer the advantage of a complete backup headstock. My favored second system is a shorty with the same table system as the main unit for flexibility.
