It is a good time to step back from the coast until Laura passes. You can't stop them, you can only get out of the way.

I see in the news this morning that the Air Force moved the B52s from Barksdale during the night to get them away from the storm. My Wife heard them passing over here last night on their way to Minot.

From what I can see on the news and what I hear from relatives in the areas affected the damage was bad in the Lake Charles area and the wave action bad but not as bad as expected. Houston fine, New a Orleans fine and St. Bernard inside the flood gates good.
It’s now waiting for power in SW LA area and rebuilding.
On the downside it’s only the middle of Hurricane season.

My son-in-law’s brother is a B-52 pilot stationed there. Unreal he is flying a plane that is 25 years older than he is.

He might be one of the pilots sitting in Minot for a few days until it is safe to take the B52s back home to Barksdale.
