Well, I understand what this thread was started for. I still don't understand what the other project you're working is for.

I hate to burst thy bubble. but I do not have any grandoise plans other than wanting to be able index stuff on the lathe for fluting etc. I was able to get the index wheel at a decent(still $$$) price. Once I got it, getting an arbor to work with it was(until thy assistance) a dead end.

I will start the thread in the next couple of days.

I may have to steal some ideas for a detent from a thread by reible.
