New owner of 1952? Shopsmith 10ER (diy Pulley Shield)

Just inherited my grandfathers Shopsmith, E 51641 Model 10ER with variable speed attachment, joiner and some nice additions. I'd like to make it a bit safer and conjure up a cover for the pulleys/belts. Any one done this that wouldn't mind sharing their ideas?

I have not done it to any of my Model 10's I have owned but you might want to check out what Skip Campbell at MKC Tools has done. You can find him at the link below.

If your jointer is the Model 4E mounted on the special headrest and driven off an additional 5" pulley on the motor that will present additional problems for making a belt guard.
As for the question in your title, S/N E51641 would be either an early 1952 or a late 1951.
