Upper saw guard on 10-ER

Rebuilding 10-ER my dad had. Have a 10-ER upper saw guard that my dad never used. Question is how do you attach the upper saw guard to the table. I’am not going to use it but was curious as to how it was attached.

It should have a bracket/spliter that attaches to the back of the table. Many of the ones you see on eBay do not have that for some reason.

Earlier versions for the Model 10E has a longer slot for the Blade Guard going lower.

One thing I would like to add. When attaching the Upper Blade Guard to the Splitter insert the screw into the threaded side of the guard first. This way the guard is held on the splitter without clamping it as occurs if inserting the screw in the non-threaded side first as shown in the manuals and tightening it down. My suggested way is putting the screw in on the opposite side shown in the manuals.
