Hi,

Do you know what can happen to a chuck if it falls? Mythbusters style testing will not be needed, I can tell you, or, better yet, show you.

That is one that came with my used 510 and never quite worked right so it may have been damaged before I dropped it... anyway it for sure is now broken.

I'm also posting this to see if I remember how to insert picture... it has been a while sence I've done that.

Hi 3d! It is very nice to hear (read) from you again. I also once had a chuck just like yours. Glad I got it before I got the SS. It originally belonged to a 1/2" hammer drill (Skill I think). Yes, I dropped it off a ladder too many times.

That is unfortunate. I hope that you have a spare; somebody recently reported that when they ordered one it was backordered.
