PowerPro Lift-Assist work on a regular Headstock Shopsmith?

I found a great deal on a Lift-Assist for the PowerPro headstock Shopsmiths. Mine is not a PowerPro.
My thinking is that the only difference is the hydraulic cylinder. If, so "too easy to lift" shouldn't be a problem.
Any thoughts recommendations are greatly appreciated.

It would be 'self raising'.
I would check SS for a 'standard' cylinder.
There may be someone here that has changed theirs after a PP upgrade.

Shopsmith offers two different cylinders but I would not hesitate to utilize a stronger cylinder. I you did that you would want to make certain that the headstock and carriage were not full left when you unlock the headrest lock. If you do, it may raise the tubes a bit faster than you want bit that is all. I have the regular lift assist on my Mark V Model 520 but when the cylinders go on special the next time I am buying the lift assist upgrade for mine.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure. My wife loves to use ours, but lifting can to use the drill press is a bit too much for her.
