I am so tired of my counter sink bits not tighten up enough to stay on the drill bit.

those little allen screws just get stripped out when you try to crank them tight.

anybody have good counter sinks that they like.

not looking for the $100 types.

Is there not a flat spot to tighten against, so you don't have to over torque them.

no I have have round drill bit

Quit using combination bits.
Drill holes separately(body/shank)
Use dedicated countersink bit.

I have the Snappy 5-piece set, and have never had a problem with them. They sell stop collars for them separately, which I typically use. You can set the depth for either a flush or a recessed screw head. I just noticed that they now offer a rotating stop collar, but I have no experience with it.

I recently purchased a set of Fuller countersinks that I really like. It's a set of three for #6, #8 and #10 screws https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003N ... UTF8&psc=1. The set also comes with a plug cutter that worked really well too. I used the #8 earlier this month on a pair of Adirondack chairs to countersink and plug all the screws and it worked beautifully.

I have a set of the Fuller bits. I have had them for years and never have a problem with them.

I brought the snappy 5 piece brand. first thing I notice was the larger allen screw. I am sure I'll like them.
