Here is one from today. Not real great but... The clouds have to be just right. We had about 12" of snow during the last week here at the house. Three different events. The northern mountains are doing great. Alta just about 15 miles east of Salt Lake City has had 50+" in the last week.

Not a sunset but a late winter storm. The high this morning was 55°. It is now (5PM) 31°. The wind was ferocious as the cold front approached. There was a gust of 55MPH here at the house and the 10 minute average was 30MPH most of the morning. Now the anemometer is frozen because it started out as rain and then changed to snow. The temperature dropped 20° in about 45 minutes as the cold front came through. Spring time in UTAH. :)

Well it has been a very benign winter this year vis-a-vis winter sunsets. Spring is coming and this shot is north of the shop. Usually the best ones are south of the shop in Dec/Jan. It has been a really good winter. Two years ago we were in a severe drought. Last year we had a record snow fall. Most basins were well over 100% and some were at 200%. This year all basins are over 100% at this time.

The large mound on the left side of the picture is Fremont island in the Great Salt Lake. The mountains in the distance are on the west side of the lake. I haven't measured but, they are probably about 60 miles away.
