I know we are not supposed to run adds in this Forum, so I'm looking at this as - - -"Here is the whereabouts of an antique held by a Veteran's widow on Veteran's day".

I just answered an add in the local classifieds for "A Shopsmith with Jigsaw". Went to look at it (in storage) and found it to be rust free, quill extends, motor turns (by hand). It sits on two planks that are supported by what looks like a Shopsmith stand with casters that lift like the Mark V's. It seems to be in working order.

Of course, being stored here in the Antelope Valley it has a coating of desert dust even though it has been covered. (Even with an old torn SS plastic cover and a cloth rug) The dust wipes right off. The jigsaw looks to be in the same condition. No added parts except an old 9" blade and arbor that is still on the machine. There is a tail stock that appears to be complete, but not knowing a lot about the 10ER, I'm just going by photos.

I told the nice lady, a widow, I can't use it but there may be someone in Southern CA that would be interested. I told the seller I would ask if anyone here is interested. If you are shoot me a PM and I'll tell you how to get in contact.

This machine was bought in 1951 or 52 in Enid, OK. Her husband was in the Air Force.
