I'm looking to sell my Shopsmith Mark V. If this isn't the right place to post please direct me. Comes with a jointer and all/most of the original accessories. Good working order; in North Carolina.

I would start with your local Craigslist or even better a local buy/sell website. They are a hassle to ship so local sales will likely get you a better price. You can determine asking price by looking on your local Craigslist and see what other similar ones are selling for. Price varies greatly with location in the US.

Right now on Craig's List, in 100 mile radius, there are 4 Mark Vs for sale at $425, $500, $550, and $1000. Most of the Mark Vs sold around here include a bandsaw or joiner, sometimes other accessories. That one for $1000 won't be sold anytime soon.

Best to check out the market for a while in your area before putting it up for sale, make sure it looks nice and clean for a photo, try to find a price in the middle of the local price range, and be prepared to negotiate to move it.

Keep in mind that Facebook limits your exposure by not allowing the public to view your ad unless they join. I would look at a better site that is open to all viewers.
