I recently did the wheel upgrade on my SS 500, drilled exactly by the template and the provided metal guide.
But, my garage floor is done in 60's style "not very smooth" concrete, and even with the new wheels, the metal legs hit or scrub on certain spots.
I need to "micro adjust" these wheels down to raise the metal legs up slightly, so there is no longer a scrub on the concrete.

What is the best way to accomplish this OR is it even possible?

I love the new wheels, much smoother to roll.

Did you have the dragging issue with the old wheels? And are you using the highest setting of the three stops with the foot control? You should have a fair amount of clearance, it would take really bad concrete for that alone to make it drag. (I have some like that too, but not in my shop.) So I'm wondering if there is another factor. (On one of mine that did not have casters the PO had added feet. This would definitely throw things off when casters were added.)

I believe there are washers that can be added to the new casters, I'm thinking they came with the kit. I think this would give you about another 1/8" in both retracted and extended positions.

On mine, I'm eyeballing about 7/16" clearance under the legs with the casters fully extended and no washers added.

"Ideally" that should be 1/2". There has been much confusion in the past for this upgrade resulting in too little 'raising'.

All of that was due to the SS supplied templates. Now that SS has recognized where the problem was and created the metal template there shouldn't be a problem. Unless you have a 1960's floor (as the OP said) and it was poured and never finished. Hardly a SS problem.

The OP said "even with the new wheels, the metal legs hit or scrub on certain spots". I assume from that statement that the small wheels rubbed also. Installing the larger wheels won't solve that problem. The lift is the same with both wheels. The larger wheels only make the machine roll easier.

Thanks, everyone. Yes, the old wheels scrubbed also. I will look into adding a washer or two, 1/8 or less should do it.
Its not terrible, just annoying!

Be aware that too much washer will prevent secure resting on the feet. It is ok for the wheels to 'rest' on the floor when lowered as long as they are not bearing any weight(there is slop between the stem and the retaining ring),
