Simple sled.

45 degree sled... simple. The mitre gauge slot bars are oak.

Yes, that works great. I have a similar one here that I made. The beauty is that even if your triangle is slightly off 90º the angles cut are complimentary and will still result in a perfect 90º joint.

I made one once as well , that was when I found out how important the MKV tables / blade alignments are, its so much easier making things work when everything is aligned. how did you fasten it to the table ? and do you have reference marks for future use ?

Hobbyman the sled slides on white oak bars. It’s a sliding cut-off sled; not fastened to table. Thanks.

white oak is a good choice , I have made them with a degree finder , loosen a wing nut and set it to the proper angle .works great fort tapers or miters .
